Anamot Press was set up in March 2020. Through the Poetry Streaming project, over 40 invited poets, publishers and writers shared queer experiences across borders and other stories on migration, ancestral grief, displacement, love and loss.

Arutyunyan was born and raised in Uzbekistan, and is now based in Los Angeles. He trained as a fashion designer, before transitioning to film production.

Released in 1969, The Color of Pomegranates by Sergei Parajanov is his best known masterpiece.
