Anamot Press was set up in March 2020. Through the Poetry Streaming project, over 40 invited poets, publishers and writers shared queer experiences across borders and other stories on migration, ancestral grief, displacement, love and loss.

Anamot Press publishes poetry, essays and short stories on intersecting experiences of gender, sexuality, race, migration, class, belonging and loss – with no shame.

As of November 2020, Anamot Press is seeking submissions for its first anthology.

They are accepting poems (short and long form), essays and short stories that speak these themes:

Belonging and loss in relation to migration

Mixed heritage identity

Stateless identities and transformative change

How to inhabit the spaces in between identities

Liminal love and diasporic desires

Histories of queer diasporic figures

Ancestral grief and how this defines our bodies and lives
